Well folks it seems good ol’ George Strait has been hard at work again wrapping up work on his newest album “It Just Comes Natural” which will reportedly be in stores on or by October 3rd 2006.

The Texan country superstar has already sold over 62,000,000 albums since he entered the Country music industry back in ‘81, with a mindblowing 52 chart topping singles.

The new album will have 15 tracks including “Thats My Kind of Woman” (which was co-written with Dean Dillon), “One Foot in Front of the Other” (produced with the help of Lee Roy Parnell and Chris Moore) as well as “She Told Me So” (a Bobby Braddock cover).

As well a total of 3 tracks following in Geogre Strait’s cowboy music tradition with “I ain’t Her Cowboy Anymore,” “How Bout them Cowgirls” and a special song written by Guy Clark called “Texas Cookin’.”

While George Strait has just wrapped up a 30 show tour, I think its safe to say it won’t take long for these new tracks to make it to the stage as Geogre is generally considered to be country musics most popular live performer.

So its good news all around for us Strait fans.

I just had the chance to preview Country Weekly’s cover story on George Strait (which will be on newstands tommorow) and it truly is a special treat for us loyal fans because….. it contains a photo “scrapbook” with pictures of George Staits early life and career, many of which most people have never been lucky enough to see.

The photo’s cover George’s childhoold through to his high school years and even touches on the first bands he played in and his first platinum release, these images truly are a George Strait collectors dream and really give you a feel for his life from humble beginings to his gradual rise into superstardom.

Geogre Strait to Recieve Honorary Degree · 1088 days ago by Straitaholic

On May 26, George Strait became a Doctor, ok maybe not the type of Doctor you were thinking but the Texas State University (TSU) in San Marco’s presented George Strait with an honorary doctoral degree in a very private ceremony.

Some fans may not know this but George Strait graduated from TSU back in 1979 with a bachelor of science degree in agriculural studies.

University President Denise Trauth said “George Strait is the most famous and successful country music singer in the world. He has had more Number One hits than any singer of any kind in history. And he’s our most prominent living graduate. The university is delighted to be able to honor him in this way.”

After the degree was presented George Strait made the crowd laugh by saying “Doctor Strait? I like the sound of that.”
